Meetings are scheduled as needed.
Chess players, especially new ones, of all levels are welcome. We have a non-competitive atmosphere where friendliness is more important than winning. Beginners are welcome and are taught how to play chess by the more advanced members. Players are usually matched against those of a similar skill level. The emphasis is on learning how to play chess and how to play chess better. The more advanced players often point out where beginners went wrong in a particular match. We don't have any chess masters and games are primarily to have a good time. For more information, contact Agnes McCausland, the group coordinator, at (215) 444-0543.
We urge you to make the right move ....... and join the Chess Club.
