SCHMALTZ

Unlike a club, Schmaltz is a session oriented event which shows musicals from the 30s, 40s and 50s, operas, operettas, musicals, ballets, and old-time movies.

What is SCHMALTZ?  It is described as over-the-top sentimentality.  It is sentiment spread on thick.
