January started us off with new exercise opportunities--a Low Impact Aerobic Class on Tuesday and Thursday in the Liberty Club Room. Tiffany Fite added a program on Mindful Balance and Stability to add to her Zumba Gold, Gentle Yoga and Beginners Line Dancing classes. The fitness center brought back Boxing on Wednesdays. A new club was added called Cane Walking for residents interested in a slower pace walk on campus--walker use is included. The fitness center added Resistance Band Training to their line of fitness programs. The fitness center now has senior appropriate aerobics classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:55 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.in the Liberty Club Room. It comprises gentle stretching, light weight training and balance exercises. Something new is our Wellbeats Limitless Mobility class in the Liberty Club Room every Wednesday in May at 1 p.m. Interested in what the Fitness Center can do for you? We will have an orientation coming in June. Outdoor pickleball has resumer for the season.

 

We now have a Woodcarvers Club that meets on Tuesdays in the Liberty Creative Arts Studio. Two new groups haves formed called Storytime--residents reading stories to other residents. One which will meet in the Liberty Commons Craft Room on Fridays from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the other one meets at Rose Garden on Tuesdays or Fridays from 11 a.m. to noon. Plans are to open another in Keystone at a later date.  

 

We have Frankford Dry Cleaners which comes each week for pick-ups and dropoffs. For questions about the drycleaners call Resident Life at 215-443-3175.  

 

We have a cancer support group for individuals currently experiencing a cancer diagnosis or is in targeted therapy. They meet on the first Thursday of each month at 2 p.m. in the Keystone Music/Classroom.

 

 

In June our Pride Committee had a flower sale and raised $781 for the Benevolent Care Fund. Our Pride Festival this year was held in the Gazebo area with games, refreshments and more available for participants.

 

We instituted an Act III Improv (Improvisational Comedy) group for residents in June and are looking for members.

 

Our Innovative Native Gardening Club is one step closer to the finish with plans to plant a native garden on our grounds located in the back of Holly View by parking lot K. We have planted three shrubs this fall, a Virginia Sweetspire, Summersweet and a Redosier Dogwood. In the spring of 2026 we plan to add more perennial plants.    

 

 Along with our Baby Boomers Social Club we now have the Silent Generation Club and they have teamed up with The Greatest Generation (residents born before 1928). They meet monthly in the Keystone Chapel.

 

We now have a new restaurant called the Oak Terrace located in the Keystone Clubhouse across from the CVS Pharmacy. Oak Terrace is open for breakfast and lunch and occupies part of the Multipurpose Room. The former Multipurpose Room has been renamed the Cedar Room.

 

Our Garden Room Restaurant has been renovated this fall and is now back in business.

 

In December news, Our monthly Annagram and Calendar newsletters have been discontinued. In its place we have a combined four page Bart's Buzz and Cubby Chronicle which lists events and Channel 977 programs.
