Consider our spacious woodshop located in Montgomery Court as an addition to your apartment where both men and women are invited to use our extensive collection of up-to-date tools and machines. The woodshop is open to all members 24/7 however safety is paramount in our operations. You must have another person in the shop with you whenever you are using machines with a red dot label adjacent to the start button.

Hours of Operation: The shop is manned most days from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Work Specialties:

   Furniture repair and refinishing

   Light construction (shelves, cabinets, tables, etc.)

   Minor electrical repairs (small appliances, lamps, etc.)

   General Handyman services

Charges: Cost of materials only. No charge for labor. However, we encourage donations considered necessary for continued Woodshop operation and service to residents of Ann’s Choice.

This is a cabinet for pool cues, made by the guys in the Woodshop.  It is now located in the Keystone Lounge area near the pool tables.  The players can now lock up and store their cues.  GREAT JOB, ANN'S CHOICE WOODSHOP.

 More Than Just A Hobby!

 

Did you know that your old wiggly chair could probably be fixed? Almost every week someone brings a favored old chair down to the Woodshop to see if it can be fixed. There are many capable men and women in the Woodshop waiting for just such a repair project.  Repair projects can be more than furniture.  There are many men with lots of experience just waiting to assist you.

Small appliances, toys, lamps, keepsakes and the like are really fun for the members to work on. There is no charge for this service, other than out-of-pocket expenses, however donations are accepted. This is the main source of revenue to maintain the supplies and equipment in top condition at all times. There are many men with a depth of maintenance experience just waiting to assist you. In addition to helpful services for residents, there is always plenty of room for members to work on their own projects. A full line of hand and power tools are available for use for any kind of job. Why don’t you check to see just how we might be of assistance to you?
