2017

THROUGH THE YEAR AT ANN’S CHOICE

HERE’S JUST A SAMPLE OF WHAT WE DID IN 2017:

Attended numerous courses offered by the Ann’s Choice Lifelong Learning Academy (ACLLA).

Benefitted our brains and our balance with a new Fitness Center class designed to improve both.

Celebrated the joy of music during numerous concerts throughout the year.

Displayed the diversity of our community at August’s Heritage Food and Wine Festival.

Earned recognition (again) from U.S. News and World Report for Rose Gardens,  a “Top Nursing Home.”

Fed the hungry with 4,000+ pounds of food donated by residents during our annual drive for the Bucks County Housing Group.

Gave $337,000+ to our Benevolent Care Fund.

Helped our student servers achieve their academic dreams with over $302,000 in contributions to our Scholars Fund.

Improved our driving skills by taking AARP’s Smart Driver Refresher Course.

Jogged our noggins” by participating in a week of fun activities.

Kicked out winter and celebrated the return of spring with a patio party.

Learned leadership-by-example from our Executive Director, Chris Donati, who received Erickson’s “Excellence in Leadership” Award.

Marched our much loved canine companions around the campus during a “Mutt Strut.”

Never had to worry about shoveling the driveway during our many winter snow storms.  How great is that?

Organized golfers for another spring tournament at Spring Mill Country Club to benefit the Scholars Fund.

Perfected our dance moves at the Last Saturday of the Month Music and Dance parties.

Questioned candidates prior to Election Day at the 7th Candidates Expo.

Remembered our former resident friends and neighbors at spring and fall memorial services.

Said goodbye to several long-time staff members including Marie Dmoch (Marketing), Peter Cataldi (Resident Life), George Comfort (Associate Executive Director), and Angela Rothwell (Finance); and welcomed new staff including Ben Smith (Security & Emergency Services Manager) and Joe Carretta (Director, General Services).

Traveled many miles with the help and planning of Gene Karahuta and our Transportation Department.

Understood our prejudices a little better thanks to Community Forum #14, “Courageous Conversations”— and acknowledged that we are more alike than we are different.

Volunteered 81,000 hours here on campus and in service to the greater  community.

Watched with enthusiasm the start of the much anticipated expansion at Rose Gardens.

Xcited by all there is to do at Ann’s Choice?

You make the difference in the success of our community.

Don’t ZZZZget involved!
