We play year round.
When playing bocce, the objective of the game is to get your balls closer to the pallino/jack (target) than your opponent’s balls are. The score is based on how many of your team balls are closer.
The game is started by throwing the pallino (white ball) to the other end of the court. Each team takes turns throwing their balls to get as close as they can to pallino. Balls hitting the board at the end of the court are out unless they hit another ball as they travel.
Balls can be thrown from standing or sitting positions.
Teams of 2, 3, or 4 are usually played. Everyone who attends will have a chance to play.
All games are played on two indoor carpeted courts.
