The effects of mindfulness-based meditation practices are well documented. They support well-being and self-efficacy, help manage chronic illness, pain, anxiety, and depression, and increase one's ability to manage stress. While we often think of meditation as a solo activity, meditating with a group or sangha can help ground and expand the practice.
